BSP In-Line Flow Control Valve with Free Flow Check

Product Description

Flow rate is varied by a handwheel with a threaded stem and a tapered nose that passes through a fixed orifice. A locknut is provided on the threaded stem. The valve is installed in a hydraulic pressure line to provide variable flow in one direction whilst allowing free flow in the opposite direction, for instance limiting the maximum speed of a cylinder movement.  When the required speed is set, the valve can be locked in position if required. If used in a test rig the valve can apply variable and progressive back pressure to the test piece.
